Kyomi and Kenmei’s Baby Shower

Dear Friends and Family,
I hope you have seen and RSVPed to the Baby Shower invitation already.
Kyomi and Kenmei have said “Quality time with you, warm hugs, quality parenting advice and good vibes is all we need.”

If anyone is so inclined, however, I have seen their shopping list and am certain that if we can help cut it down even a little, they will be so happy and grateful for your generosity. The links are just examples so you could purchase that exact one or a variation from anywhere.

Feeling creative? Valuable gifts that are not on the “to buy” list, but will still be very appreciated:
● Voucher for IKEA / Kmart / Target (very useful for getting breastfeeding clothes, and
other baby items)
● Money towards a pram (they will purchase a pram after the baby is born)
● Postnatal massage voucher from a doula (can find Erika Elliot doula on facebook to
organise. They are $165 for one massage)
● Ubereats vouchers for post-partum
● Deliver a nutritious meal post-partum
● Home-made baked items full of dates (Kyomi’s midwife asked her to eat 6 dates per day
for the rest of the pregnancy!)
● Hand-written letters for Kyomi to read during labour, or to be read to her in a crisis of
confidence, full of encouragement, hope and belief in her ability to go on with the
marathon that mothering is!
● Special bead, leaf, flower or item to go in Kyomi’s birth space to signify feminine strength
and power to labour and birth. (A necklace will be made from all the beads Kyomi will
collect until birthing day).
● In the 4th trimester: Come give Kyomi a hug and sit with her on a hard day, or hold the
baby while she takes a shower.
● Check in on Kenmei and make sure he is getting some time to relax among all the
care-taking of wife
● Chocolate!!
