A Place To Call Home

It’s every mother’s dream to have a little place for her & her children to call home.Unfortuantely in today’s economy this dream is getting further & further out of reach for many Australians.With the high cost of living & high rental prices it is almost impossible for the average Australian family to save enough for a deposit for their own home.This is my situation. I am a stay at home mother of 2 beautiful children. My husband works full time & is a great provider for us and we get by but at the end of each month there is little left in the bank to put aside.I often feel guilty that I am not working to help to contribute to a deposit but working is simply not an option, I want to be available for my kids & with the high cost of childcare we would probably be no better off.I have been trying to think of a way that I can help us to reach our goal and the thought came to me….The average deposit needed for a home loan is $25,000 – $30,000 which is a lot of money BUT what if 25,000 people donated just $1 each! $1 is loose change these days & you could probably find more than that on the floor of your car! But $1 times 25,000 is $25,000 which could be life changing for someone like me.Now I know in today’s society we all quickly scroll passed posts like these. The world has become a dishonest place & there is a scam in every email, every phone call & we have all become so worried about the idea of someone stealing our hard earned savings or hey, even our identity! That we have become hardened & blinded to seeing when people really need help.I can not do anything to prove to you my sincerity, all I can do is give you my word & at the end of the day, all you have to lose is $1 but your $1 may eventually lead to a much bigger picture which will be forever & eternally appreciated, a place for myself, my husband & my children to call home.
