Baby Lee 2021
No contributions yet Event Finished
Thankyou for helping us to prepare for the arrival of our new baby <3 a lot of these items are not the fun cutesy type gifts you probably think of, but they are things that will help us out a lot.
The environmental impact of our choices is very important to me, and so I want to emphasise my genuine appreciation for second hand goods. Although the sex of our baby will be a surprise, please do not feel bad if you have items to pass on with a more feminine or masculine theme – they will all be appreciated greatly.
Also, while gift wrapping is a lovely touch, and I will reuse any bags or paper that we do receive, I would like to ask that you please consider not wrapping your gifts.
Cloth nappies (Terry flats)
Bright colours preferred, but any colours (even white) would be appreciated.

Waterproof Cot mattress protector
Not fussed on style, second hand appreciated.

Clothes
Specifically, we would like a few long onesies with zips rather than buttons, along with any other clothes, in any prints or colours. Hand-me-downs especially appreciated. With gestational diabetes, Maxs size at birth and the extra bulk of cloth nappies, we do not anticipate being able to fit size 0000 at all, so sizes 000 and up would be great.

Thankyou brand bath wash, lotion and nappy balm.
After a lot of research into ethical, Australian toiletries, we have decided on Thankyou as our preferred brand. They do make disposable nappies and wipes, however we will not be using those.

Sling rings
These are an addition for a baby wearing wrap, which allow a greater range of options for wearing baby. The blue rings from the link are my favourite, but any colour would be greatly appreciated. Quite hard to find these second hand.

Wet bags
Waterproof bags for cloth nappies, wet/dirty clothes and so much more! The ones in the link are not the cheapest available, but they're reasonably priced and sweatshop free. Second hand is even better, but they can be hard to find.

Stretchy wrap
Please do NOT buy this one brand new! They are quite expensive when new and only used for a few months. They are very easy to find second hand. Reputable brands include Cheeko, Boba, Moby and Ergobaby, among others.

Formula portion containers
Formula containers for pre-measured serves. The stacked style is more secure for out and about, while the blue one is simpler for at home. We used both with Max and I consider them essential! They're called "Powdered milk container" and "Powdered milk dispenser" on the baby bunting website, but I've also seen similar ones at Woolworths in the baby feeding section.

Appliance latches
To secure oven, dishwasher and microwave doors.

Stove knob covers
Does what it says.

Pram clips
Each of the 3 styles has their uses, they're super handy and very affordable. Very widely available
0 contributions
Toilet sprayer
For cleaning solid waste from cloth nappies into the toilet.

Over the door drying rack
Space saving drying rack for cloth nappy covers. Bonus points that I won't have to stretch up after my c section! We don't have the space for a floor based one.
